Classroom
observations are one of the most important jobs of a school principal.
GoObserve™ is a software tool that can help you more efficiently
schedule classroom observations and more effectively capture the salient
instructional activities that occurred during these observations. The
GoObserve program resides on your Windows computer and is synchronized
with your handheld. GoObserve does not replace your district's evaluation
process, but instead makes your job easier.
During an observation, the handheld component of GoObserve allows you
to seamlessly "script" activities. Using categorization and
time-stamping features, you can record, minute-by-minute, how teachers
are doing and if students are engaged. After an observation, simply
synchronize your handheld to your desktop and GoObserve will generate a
complete report of the recorded events, along with a pie chart that
visually displays how instructional time was used.
